Sew a Tea Cosy

I am not entirely sure what drew me to this project—whether it was the beautiful teapot my husband gifted me or the years I spent in England, surrounded by afternoon tea and lively debates about whether jam or clotted cream should come first on a scone.

Although there were plenty of free patterns online, I stubbornly sketched my own design instead. I have to admit, though, that the first attempt turned out far too small. It could only have served as a coronation crown if I had been a queen.

So back to the sewing machine I went.

The second attempt fitted perfectly. Since then, the tea cosy has become part of our day, sitting quietly between the teapot and our conversations.
